Still doubt after giving my life to Christ

I got saved about two years ago. Most days I'm fine, then I mess up and suddenly wonder if any of it was real.

I've read 1 John. Still scared. How do you people live with assurance without going soft on sin?

What helped us: clear intentions early, boundaries decided before temptation, and older couples who could ask nosy questions. Dating without community gets weird fast. Aim toward marriage, not endless emotional experiments.

Brother, struggle after sin doesn't automatically mean you were never saved. Assurance sits on what Jesus finished, not how warm you feel this week. Confess quickly (1 John 1:9), stay around people who open the Word, and talk to a mature believer you trust. Doubts are loud; they're not always true.

Busy seasons happen. Still, don't let "busy" become the whole story. Even ten honest minutes with a Psalm beats pretending. Tell one friend to check on you. Scarcity faithfulness still counts.

Faith and wisdom aren't enemies. Cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) and get help if your body/mind needs it. Counselling or meds can be stewardship. God uses means.
