Conviction or condemnation?
After I sin, sometimes I run to God. Sometimes I just feel crushed and hide. How do you tell the difference?

Conviction is usually specific and hopeful — it pulls you toward Christ. Condemnation is vague, crushing, isolating — sounds like the accuser. Take both to the cross and to trusted counsel. John 16:8; Romans 8:1; Revelation 12:10.
