I was taught once-saved-always-saved, but I know people who once seemed sincere and now deny Christ. I don't want a fight — I want to live faithfully.

Christians differ on how to explain apostasy. Scripture calls us both to trust God's keeping power and to persevere. John 10:27-29; Hebrews 3:14 — we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. Let the question push you toward Christ, not superiority.

Live as someone kept by God (1 Peter 1:5) who also works out salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12-13). Both lines are in the Book.

If you're terrified daily that you've lost salvation after every mistake, that may be condemnation — return to Romans 8:1 and a wise counsellor.

1 John 2:19 — some went out so it might be plain they were not of us. That verse shapes how many read falling away.

Hebrews warnings are real pastoral medicine — don't mute them to protect a system.

Assurance grows through looking to Christ and walking in the light, not through arguing online (1 John 5:13).

Pray for those who walked away more than you speculate about their past profession.
