Listen longer than you argue. Ask what shifted. Don't panic-debate. Gently return to Jesus' person and resurrection. Invite them to keep exploring with you. Jude 22-23 — have mercy on those who doubt. Galatians 6:1 — restore gently.
I jumped straight to arguments last time. Going to apologise and listen.
Often 'leaving faith' is leaving a harsh church culture. Separate Jesus from the wreckage.
If they're in crisis/depression, address care needs alongside spiritual questions.
Offer to read a Gospel together slowly — meet Jesus again, not only Twitter atheists.
Share your own doubts you've walked through honestly. Fake certainty pushes people out.
You can't carry their faith for them. You can refuse to disappear (Proverbs 17:17).
Pray more than you text apologetics paragraphs.
