Friend thinking of leaving the faith
Doubts are intellectual and emotional. I love them and feel out of my depth. First steps?

Honour ≠ unlimited access. Speak respectfully, give appropriate care, refuse manipulation. Safety and truth-telling can be love.

Scripture, wise counsel, and providence over inner impressions. The Spirit won't contradict the Word He inspired. Feelings can come along; they shouldn't drive.

The NT assumes belonging you can see: shepherds who know people, mutual accountability, shared mission. Formal membership is one careful way churches live that out.

Christian friends help. Practise answering common jabs. Remind them courage is often quiet faithfulness. Identity in Christ > peer approval. (Easier said — still true.)
