Half a chapter. Copy one verse. Pray it back. Share one insight with a friend weekly. Slow reading grows deeper roots than rushing plans. John 15:7; Psalm 1:2 — delight and meditate day and night.
If you miss days, resume — Gospels aren't a streak app.
One month per Gospel is a sane pace for many. Don't let reading plans shame you.
End each session asking: Who can I love differently today because of this?
Keep a margin notebook. Writing slows skimming.
Questions I use: What does Jesus do/say? What do people get wrong? What do I need to obey?
Read the same story in two Gospels back-to-back occasionally — richness without rush.
