Should I keep serving when I am burned out?

Youth, choir, transport — resentment is growing. If I step back I fear people will think I don't love God. How do I know when rest is obedience?

Service from exhaustion and resentment harms you and those you serve. Speak honestly with leaders, simplify commitments, receive rest that helps you serve from love again. Mark 6:31 — come away and rest a while. Galatians 6:9 — don't grow weary in doing good (weary is real; rest is part of not quitting).

Booking a meeting with my pastor to drop one role. Resentment was becoming my personality.

If leaders only value you for output, that's a discipleship problem in the system.

Love of God isn't measured by number of rotas. John 15 fruit comes from abiding.

Keep one joyful act of service; release the rest temporarily.

Check medical/mental health — burnout can be more than spiritual.

A season of less is not apostasy. Elijah slept and ate (1 Kings 19).
