Quiet time is a mess right now
Work + kids = my Bible is open for like 8 minutes and my mind is already at the office. Feels like I'm drifting. Is this backsliding or just life?

Forgiveness isn't rewriting history or giving unsafe people free access again. You can release the debt to God, refuse revenge, pray for them, and still keep distance. Ephesians 4:32 is fuel, not theatre.

Short version: justification = God declaring you righteous in Christ (once). Sanctification = the Spirit making you look more like Him over time. Court verdict vs family resemblance. Both matter; they aren't the same thing.
