Is ambition sinful?
I want to excel at work. Also scared of pride. How do you chase excellence as stewardship?

Hold promotion with open hands. Pray before applying: 'Yours either way.' That prayer exposed my idolatry more than once.

Mentor someone coming behind you. Generosity with opportunity kills hoarding ambition.

Excellence includes refusing dishonest shortcuts. Proverbs 11:1 — dishonest scales are an abomination.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 — let not the wise boast in wisdom... but boast in knowing the Lord.

Sabbath and church attendance are ambition tests. If success eats worship, it's become a rival god.

Share credit. Pride hates shared credit. Romans 12:10 — outdo one another in showing honour.
