Jesus prioritised the Father's will over family pressure (Mark 3:21, 31-35). Honour doesn't mean obedience to sin or abuse.
Provide what is fitting — bills help, medical rides — without surrendering your household leadership. 1 Timothy 5:8 includes your own home.
Honour ≠ unlimited access. Speak respectfully, give appropriate care, refuse manipulation. Safety and truth-telling can be love. Exodus 20:12 stands; so does Proverbs 4:23 — keep your heart with all vigilance.
If they spiritualise control ('you're grieving the Spirit by saying no'), test it by Scripture. God doesn't need manipulative guilt trips (2 Corinthians 4:2 — we refuse underhanded ways).
Forgive the debt; don't hand them the keys again automatically. Matthew 10:16 — wise as serpents, innocent as doves.
