Did you know it’s wrong for believers to pray for God’s promises to be fulfilled in their lives?

It is ignorance of what Christ has done that will make a born-again Christian pray that way. Note that Genesis to Malachi are littered with the promises of God the fulfilment of which are tied to meeting certain conditions. But when Christ came, he met all the conditions so that those promises can become the covenant right (testimonies) of those who believe in him. So, if in Christ, it’s no longer a case of Yes and No (which is the way of promises contingent on the attached conditions) but Yes and Yes as 2 Corinthians 1:19-20 puts it. Selah.

It is not wrong for believers to pray for God's promises to be fulfilled in their lives. Infact! It is the will of the father that we pray in line with his word and promises to be evident in our lives.
A popular song goes this: HE HAS PROMISED HE WILL NEVER FAIL.
When Jesus Christ was teaching his disciples how to pray, He taught them to pray using the Lord's Prayer.
OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN,HALLOWED BE THINE NAME, THY KINGDOM COME,THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.......
Now! Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven is God's promises towards our life, He taught us how to pray in accordance with his promises to be fulfilled in our lives using the Lord's Prayer. So instead of praying amiss, Jesus Christ taught us to pray using the Lord's Prayer. His promises never fails and they are new every morning, so it is not wrong for a believer to pray for God's promises to be fulfilled in their lives, it is our privilege.

Thanks for your intervention but if only you understood my note bearing answer to the question I posed. The point is that those promises are no longer promises the moment Christ intervened. Perhaps I should reproduce the quoted scripture here:
“19 For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. 20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.” 2 Corinthians 1:19-20 (NLT). The thing with promises is that they always have conditionalities attached which is what makes their fulfilment a case of either Yes or No. But Jesus has met all the attached conditions, thereby granting Believers express access to all the promises you will find in Genesis to Malachi! So, born-again Christians no longer need to pray for God’s promises to be fulfilled in their lives. The promises have become their covenant entitlement!
