Must Christian Lifestyle Represent Poverty?

I saw two pictures on Facebook. One was showing a big church with good sound system and large members and the second was showing a small church with few people tagged as a church with sound doctrine.
I mean God is not a poor God. God loves Glory and Beauty. It's in the Bible.
Solomon built a beautiful temple for God with Silver and Gold.
Why do people easily condemn anything beautiful and say it doesn't represent God and ascribe the little and poor as what God likes?

This notion, I believe stems from a place of mentality. We are product of our thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. This emphasizes the power of thoughts in shaping a person's character, behavior, and perception. Christianity is not synonymous with poverty. The wish of God for us is to prosper, to be in good health - 3 John 1:2; and He gives us the power to make wealth - Deut 8:18. If you ask me, the points mentioned above are beauty defined. However, what one must bear in mind is moderation so that the beautiful christian lifestyle will not turn ugly and stink.
